Try going to an adult school and taking classes on Spanish. He can go to the same school and take classes on learning English!

If you have $400 to shell out, the Rosetta Stone program is excellent.
Just continue talking to him and try watching Spanish TV. The words will stick.

If you have a Spanish-English dictionary that have the phrases helper, that will help you a lot. Also if you go to…take a look at the great website that will truly help you. Don’t join (won’t charge you), just use your computer document to copy the teaching lessons words and paste its in your document file or you can print its and review the lessons you had learned. I hope this will help you a lot but remember if you don’t practice speak Spanish everyday, you will forget Spanish. So this is important for you to learn the new language even the old people should never stop learning the new things.

I am learning Spanish, now. I use a company called 1to1languages.

They are great. You speak with Spanish native teachers and work with them one on one via Skype or Google talk. The cost is $99 per month for unlimited sessions within a given time-frame of your choosing. For example, I am taking the classes on Monday - Friday 9-5. I have class everyday for an hour with weekends off. I have learned very fast. I also have a great time doing it.

See what they have to offer.

I highly recommend them. I am Matta, let them know that I sent you.

Speak with him has much as possible. Try to learn vocabulary , pic a subject and study all the keywords. Learn the most important verbs in present and past tenses. Don’t try to learn all the Spanish grammar at once because it can be overwhelming. Learn grammar as you need it. Don’t try to translate from English to Spanish.Instead try to make short sentences with the words you know. Join some Spanish Meetup group in your community. Make more Spanish speakers friends!.
If after all this you feel you are going nowhere take some private lessons. Don’t waist your money and time in group lesson in a language school, it won’t work for you because this method tends to be very slow compare with the ones mention above.
Have fun! Having a Spanish boyfriend it is definitely the most entertaining way of learning Spanish!!

Listening to music and movies is one of the worst ways to learn Spanish, really.

Spanish will take time really, you can’t learn it overnight. However, there is some methods that can help you learn it. Take a look at this software I think it is going to help you:

Best Wishes,
Darren
