I taught for many years and I really enjoyed it. Teaching takes a special kind of person who has a strong desire to impart knowledge and who takes pride in seeing his/her students advance.
When I hear people talk about the failures of the educational system, I point to people like you. I have seen many like you. And they are, in reality, a bane on the profession.
Please, for the sake of your prospective students, stay out of the teaching profession.

Is this at a Community College?
It’s not bad to do some work at a community college while you look for the work you most want to do. As long as it’s not a public school, as they need people dedicated completely to the teaching profession. Either way, this will not be a fulfilling job for you, so you should constantly apply for jobs you’ll be happy at. Good luck on your job search.

Don’t do it. If you have no interest in it, find a different “job.” Teaching should be a calling, not a stopgap measure.
