it does not transfer. You need to meet all Californias requirements. You may have done some of them, but you need to supply proof.

The key phrase you need to investigate is “reciprocity”…if such an agreement exists between CO and CA…which essentially defines the work you completed in CO that would count toward a CA credential.
You didn’t say if you were getting credentialed in CO for primary or secondary teaching. Whichever it is, consider that some districts in CA have severe shortages of teachers and may offer “emergency” or “provisional” credentials. Essentially this means you could be placed in the classroom and get paid, but you would also need to be enrolled in an accredited teacher certification program in CA at the same time, and would be given a specific time to complete the work to be fully credentialed in CA.

This might give you some insights to better align your resume and comments for any potential interviews to show you are in tune with the classroom / teaching needs you can deliver.
Other considerations: additional points to ponder are the special needs of some districts…special ed, bilingual ability, etc. If you have a specialty that is needed by the district, it could help in your bid for emergency credentialing status.

Some states allow you to in effect transfer your credentials particularly in shortage areas.
Contact the state education department in California and ask there. if you are still taking courses for your Colorado license you may be able, if necessary, to change some of them to fulfill California requirements.
